I now have 69,934 miles on my 2010 Subaru Outback with original tires. 80% highway miles. They are rotated at 5,000 to max 10,000 miles and have been balanced 3times. I need to replace in the next 60 days and will probably get another set of Contiprocontact. Hoping to get another 70K.
Pros: Hydroplane resistance, Extended treadlife, Smooth and Quiet ride

I have 79K on my 2009 Fussion and just replacing the tires. I rotated the tires with every oil change and most of the miles are hwy. I am replacing them this week with the same brand. Best tires I ever owned.
Pros: Great Handling, Extended treadlife

I got the tires new on my 2012 Ford Focus. I bought the tires from Classic Ford in Cambridge Ohio. The Dealership does not back the warranty and the tires wear out fast. These are the worst Tires I ever had on any vehicle. I would never recommend these tires for anyone. If you purchase a a vehicle and the tires are these ones or this brand go to a different dealership. I wish I had the knowledge I have now about these tires and I never would have bought this car from Ford.
Cons: Slow braking response, Short treadlife, Poor performance in rain, Noisy, poor performance in snow

I just replaced the original tires on 2010 Subaru Outback with the same Pro Contact after 53000 miles! Most miles I've ever put on tires and they still had enough tread to be safe. Changed now for trip to Canada next month. Having taught evasive driving to pd for 15 years these tires on this car are awesome!

These tires came as OE on my 2011 Subaru Outback. The vehicle is driven mostly highway miles and the tires are rotated every oil change around 5k miles. I have now 30k miles on the tire and they have reached the tread limit. I am sad there is no type of warranty for this product as OE. The retail product has a warranty and I know there can be a difference based upon speed rating. I just wish someone from Continental would help out.

I buy Subarus because I ski every weekend in the winter. But in my second Vermont winter with my 2011 Outback, I've lost confidence in my ability to go up snowy roads. The OEM Continental tires are slipping and sliding so badly that I think I have to replace them after only 30,000 (mainly highway) miles.

35,000 mile and replacing tires. Rotated every 6k and when I went to the dealer they told me I didn't take care of the car correctly based on the wear of the tires. New car 1.5 years old and 35,000 miles???? Really!

They came standard on my 2011 Outback, and I am at 43,000. Just now I am down to 6/32. If we have a light winter, I think I should be able to get another year out of them. 1st winter traction was great. Last winter, to little snow to rate. Wet traction has been great. I can't even get the traction control light to come on, even if I romp on it in the rain.
In the rain, my wife's SUV with another branded All Weather tire (much more expensive) just spins from take off if you barely touch the gas.
Will probably buy another set unless someone can clearly give me a reason to buy something else.

I don't know what happened to the quality of Continental Tires but my tires wore completely out around 30,000 miles. Even after regular rotation and inflation checks they just don't last. On the upside they are very quiet on the road and provide good traction in wet conditions.

Tires came on 2011 subaru Outback purchased new. Tires are completely wore through the wear bares at 34k miles. Tires were regularly balanced and rotated by dealership. Traction in snow was fair. I am disappointed in the quality or the tread life and would not recommend these to anyone else due to short tread life.

These tires came as OE, on my '10 VW CC Sport. I am at 25k miles, and I they are already at the tread wear indicators. Tires have been rotated accordingly, with spot on tire pressure. I am unimpressed with the tread life. Never have I had to source out new tires so early.

My wife's 2011 Mini Cooper came with these tires (175/65/R15) and we just went in for our first oil change and the front tires were at 3/32 and the rears were at 5/32. They recommended we replace the front tires, but here is the kicker... We have 18,000 miles on the car. Unbelievable!

First Service at 18,000?
Posted September 25, 2012
Wow, unbelievable is the fact that your first service was at 18,000 miles, and you are complaining about the treadwear. This is a front wheel drive car, the tires were not rotated, and surprise, the tires are lower on the front axle then the rear. This is to be expected when you do not maintain the vehicle, (you should be on your 3rd rotation). Yes, BMW/Mini does not recommend rotating tires, but it is obvious that you should, if you want to extend the life of your tires.

These tires came standard on my new 2010 Mercedes-Benz C300. After 1.5 years, 1 tire had a side lump and the dealer had to replace it (with a similar piece of junk to match). After 2.5 years and 27,000 miles the thread is completely wore off... I have to buy new tires to return my 3yr lease. Will never buy Continental again, and make it a deal breaker that my new lease do NOT have this brand.

We've got about 22k miles on our 2011 Honda Odyssey which was outfitted with these tires from the factory. I can certainly say I've had worse OEM tires than these before, but these are not better by much. They seem to roll nice (low rolling resistance) and have a great treadlife thus far with 7/32 still remaining, but are noisy and lack traction in snow and wet roads. I've got no real opinion on their handling characteristics as they are on a minivan...not a sport's car. All in all an ok tire at best.
Pros: Extended treadlife
Cons: Poor performance in rain, Noisy, poor performance in snow

Response from Continental TireCustomer RelationsAugust 6, 2012
We received your email stating that your Hyundai dealer is willing to replace your tires per the terms of the tread wear warranty, (once they reach 2/32” of tread remaining), at your next oil change. Also, per your email, the current measurements are 3-4/32" or 75-89% treadwear.

Once the tires reach 100% wear, or 2/32” remaining, the dealer will be able to prorate the tires, based on miles driven on the tires. Should you or your dealer have a question, you can reach us at 800-847-3349. Please reference the claim number provided in the email when calling.

If I had bought a Subaru I wouldn't blame the tire

Have 4K OE miles on a new BMW 328 xDrive (2011 awd) w/17 inch wheels. BMW uses run flats (SSR). I wonder if this increased sidewall construction changes a tire as much as truck version is different from a auto version. For instance the Bridgestone Revo AT series on my other vehicle a Toyota Landcruier
In a 17 inch wheel size with a suspension that is tuned to the SSR might tires as planted on rails and no side roll. Live in the NM and drive a lot of narrow high mountain roads that I share in the summer with bikes. Never overdrive my line vision into the turns, even though the uphill acceleration brake system and tires are better what I can see. Experimented with controlled panic stops, straight on, no fade, worlds class stopping form 100 mph . Yeah we straight road too.
All tires are a design compromise. In the winter I will deal with 6+ inches of fresh powder snow at 10,000 ft at the ski area and later at 7,000 in town and 50 degrees (F) or higher in winter. I’ll let you know on that & wear.
I am always amazed that folks never read reviews or their cars owner’s manual. Don’t think Subaru has ever made a off road vehicle (truck frame). But isn’t the point of that purchase?

I got these tires on our new 2012 subaru outback in december 2011. I have driven 18600 miles from florida to arizona on the highway, but when it comes to driving on our country rock roads coming and going 4miles each way from my home these tires have stranded my wife and i 4 times with punctures. Well today was the last straw . I just purchased new tires after speaking with many tire experts. I took the car back twice to the dealer with flats and they patched and the last time they kept the tire and send me to a tire store close by since they didn't have our size in stock. I don't see how subaru can accept a tire like these for a all wheel drive outback! It just doesn't live up to the name does it!

ContiPro Contact tires came as original equipment on my 2010 MINI Cooper bought in July 2010. With less than 30,000 miles on the tires, even less with the use of four winter tires from November to March each year, the wear on the tires is down to 4/32 in front and 3/32 in rear and dealer is recommending replacement. Seems kind of fast wear for OE tires which come with a 6 year warranty, don't you think? And the only remedy is a pro rated replacement. With the same horribly performing tires? I don't think so.

I don’t go anywhere without my ContiProContact tires and I leave all casual drivers, commuters, speedsters and long haul drivers in the zig-zaggety-zag-zag-ziggety dust.
ContiProContact: Trust no others!
Hailing from the south eastern U.S., ah-ha-ha-ha.
Pros: Great Handling, Short braking distance, Innovative tread design, Hydroplane resistance, Extended treadlife, Superior traction, Smooth and Quiet ride, on the dime zig-zagging
I would recommend this to a friend!
